What Are Multilayer PCBs?

A multilayer printed circuit board (PCB) consists of multiple layers of electronic components placed over each other. Multilayer PCBs can contain as many as twenty-four layers, depending on usage and the complexity of the product itself.

And in terms of the longevity of multilayer PCBs, they can easily be packed up and stored for long periods before being used in the future. Plus, before being sold, each board is thoroughly tested to ensure that it functions properly.  

And in the rare cases of failure, the repair process is simple – it can be achieved by merely replacing the board itself, instead of resorting to component-level troubleshooting.
